Google & phone contacts, the 2nd
Earlier mobile phone generations did have some of the possible to define for each contact a profile picture, but this was meisst reacted very inconsistent: Not enough disk space, because the images were stored full-size, unsightly, as it did not indemnify the images could not and the aspect ratio was inconsistent and the images were stored in the phone, so that with every new phone should have made the effort (ie every 2 years) the images to capture new. Conclusion: useless.
But those days are over! Thanks to the synchronization of Google mail and telephone contacts you can now easily reach the square profile images that have become quasi-standard to assign the contact and these are then displayed in the phone. Nice gimmick.
But currently there is a bug in Gmail that will prevent that you can assign a contact a picture that has not saved any email address (only a mobile number for example).
